InSight Optometry & Occupational Therapy is dedicated to ensuring your child's success at school, in sports, and at play.
Dr. Darren Sass, Optometrist Dr.Sass' special interest in children's eye care and learning-related vision problems has been consistent throughout his optometry career. After studying science at the University of British Columbia, he received his doctorate degree at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis,TN. He is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD), the Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEPF), the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO) and the BC Association of Optometrists (BCAO). When not at the clinic he enjoys canoeing and squash. |

Heather Harder, Occupational Therapist Heather Harder completed her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Western Ontario and has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. She has experience in both public and non-profit settings, working with children and youths at-risk. She is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC and is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Heather provides pediatric assessment, consultation and treatment for children with delays in fine or gross motor skills, mild sensory deficits, and learning or behaviour challenges. She looks forward to speaking with you and discussing your child’s personal needs. |

Moira, Office Manager Moira has the friendly smile you see at InSight's reception desk. It carries through while she is pre-testing for examinations. She and her husband volunteer their time with a number of community organizations. Moira teaches ballet from kindergarten to the professional level, drawing on her experience as a professional ballerina in England and Australia. |

Linda, Vision Therapist Linda enjoys her work as vision therapist, training children and adults to improve vision skills. She draws on her experience in hospital administration, as well as instructing children with developing abilities at a therapeutic horseback riding academy. Away from work, Linda coaches a girl's fastpitch team and enjoys time with her family. |

Jenni, Vision Therapist Jenni is a graduate from Trinity Western University and her background is in teaching ESL to children and adults. She speaks French and has worked as a tutor and student mentor. Jenni is energetic and likes to have fun with our patients. She is an avid lover of the stage and enjoys taking part in theatre whenever time allows. Her position as vision therapist here at InSight allows her to combine her skills in science, athletics, teaching, and coaching. |

Kierra, Optometric Assistant As an optometric assistant, Kierra is trained to provide preliminary vision testing for you before seeing the eye doctor. She has over 6 years experience in optical dispensing and is expert at making custom adjustments to your glasses to make them feel comfortable again. Kierra also enjoys helping people choose their new eyeglasses that are fashion forward, complement facial shape and are best suited for individual lens prescriptions. Her duties also include visual field testing and contact lens training. Whether it's contact lenses, frame selection or optical lenses, educating is an essential part of her job.
